If you are traveling with your vehicle BC Ferries is the only way to travel to Vancouver Island.

from Vancouver (Tsawwassen) to Victoria (Swartz Bay): 1 hour 35 minutes

Sailing time:
from Vancouver (Tsawwassen) to (Nanaimo) Duke Point: 2 hours

Sailing time:
from (West Vancouver) Horseshoe Bay to (Nanaimo) Departure Bay: 1 hour 35 minutes

BUS SERVICES:

Bus transportation is also available from/to the ferry terminals to/from Qualicum Beach through Greyhound buses. In Qualicum Beach, the bus stops at the corner of Memorial Ave and West Island Hwy, 2 km from Riverside Resort.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS:

From Departure Bay
Follow signs to Highway 19 North towards Campbell River. Take exit number 60 towards Qualicum Beach/Port Alberni. Stay on Qualicum Beach exit down to West Island Hwy. Left on West Island Hwy and follow through 2 kilometers to Riverside Resort, located on left hand side of the Hwy.

Approximate drive time 45 minutes.

From Duke Point
Follow signs to Highway 19 North towards Campbell River. Take exit number 60 towards Qualicum Beach/Port Alberni. Stay on Qualicum Beach exit down to West Island Hwy. Left on West Island Hwy and follow through 2 kilometers to Riverside Resort, located on left hand side of the Hwy.

Approximate drive time 45 minutes.

COMOX AIRPORT

Located 40 minutes north of Qualicum Beach, the Comox Valley Airport provides excellent access to Vancouver Island with regularly scheduled flights.

Shuttle services can be arranged prior to visit when you are reserving accommodations.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS - From Downtown Victoria

Follow Douglas Street north. Stay on Douglas as it turns into Highway 1. Stay on Highway 1 for approximately one hour and 30 minutes. Just south of Nanaimo, take the exit for Highway 19 to Parksville and Campbell River. Approximately 40 minutes down the road take exit number 60 towards Qualicum Beach/Port Alberni. Stay on Qualicum Beach exit down to West Island Hwy. Left on West Island Hwy and follow through 2 kilometers to Riverside Resort, located on left hand side of the Hwy.
